Wisdom for Saving – The Habit of Managing Money is Important than the Amount you Have

Proverbs 6 vs.6-11,28 vs.19

A Farmer knows that he (she) can’t harvest anything until a step is taken to plant the little seed.

Nothing is going to happen until you plant the seed, then your seed (plant) starts to grow and flourish.

Are you still waiting for the perfect time to start saving and or investing?

Remember, life always happens, from the car breaking down to a sudden quit notice (the Landlord wants to renovate or someone else is now the owner of the property) to uncertain times like COVID-19, illness, hoodlums hijacking peaceful protests and Curfew due to unrest.

Don’t eat your seed.

If you don’t have good money management habits, no matter how high your income is, you may be working in a circle.

Have something to do and stop the excuses (work for someone, organisation or do business no matter how small), the sluggard will not plough by reason of the cold: therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing. Proverb 20 v 4, 26 v 13-15, 24 vs. 30-34, 21 vs. 25. You need income to save and invest, stop talking and start doing.  In all labour there is profit, but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penuryProverb 14 vs.23

Work on:

  1.  Reducing your expenses
  2. Having a budget and using it
  3. Saving regularly and investing
  4. Increasing your savings and investments as your income increases
  5. Spending less than you earn
  6. Knowing your limit when hanging out with friends, family and others.
  7. Not accepting pay later as a lifestyle.
  8. Have more than one source of income.
  9. Think of other good money management habits you can practice.

Free yourself from the rat race; it is way too stressful. It doesn’t give financial peace. Be gratefully grateful for what you have. Don’t over-stretch your pocket on what you can’t afford, and stop feeling inferior because of the things you don’t have. You are blessed beyond measure, and things will soon start aligning.

Be You.
